back in the swing of things

I just found out blogger has an app! You think I'd know this, but I never bothered to look. It'll make this 20x easier to post with my phone, since that's where the majority of my pictures are taken.

I have knitted close to zero since the Pokemon hat craze. I knitted about 4 of those. All 4 completely snatched up before I really got the chance to decide if I wanted to keep them.

I think the main reason why I've been on such a knitting hiatus is because, while I got my yarn organized and pretty, the rest of my craft supplies (needles, notions, beads, etc) are in complete disarray.

For the most part, it's my fault. I had a three day weekend this past weekend and kept telling myself to get my bum in gear and get it done ... but I found every excuse not to.

My goal is, every Friday or Sunday to feature some kind of project I'm working on. I really want to get on a roll.

My Current Project: Design S8634 Throw by Schachemayr. I happened across this via Pinterest, when a gaming buddy of mine challenged me to knit him a blanket. This all after I told him how I can't keep attention to blankets and the one full sized blanket I made, took over a year and a half to complete because of getting bored of the repetitive and mindless garter stitch.

This one is in panels. Each panel is about 100 rows on 72-75 stitches. All 12 panels have a different pattern and I'm hoping this will keep my attention to the end.

So far, I have 2 panels done in about a week and a half. That includes a good five days of not touching it at all.

Progress update to follow this weekend!
