'tis the season for pokemon.

Pokemon Sun & Moon is here (I'll make a separate post on the actual game) and I decided to hit the needles and knit up the hat one of my sister's boyfriends has been asking me to make since he saw the first one I made that my daughter ran around with.  I'm not sure where it is and I don't have a picture of it surprisingly.

I found one pattern on Ravelry and I absolutely fell in love with, but it was $5 and I knew I could create a similar pattern at no cost to me, which is essentially what I did.  I knitted up a basic skull cap design, switched out colors appropriately and used the round applique that I had did for Knitted Hungry Caterpillar Sleep Sack and made it black and white.  I did only one vs two of the separate colors the pattern calls for, I just switched colors.

I was pretty impressed with how it came out, but didn't get to keep it long, my boss immediately snatched it up for one of her sons and handed me $15.

Not too keen on the skull cap style, I hit the needles for another one, but this time making the brim a K1 P1 5 to 6" long. Naturally my boss snatched that one up and I forgot to take pictures.

All in all, I made $35 for two hats that were a quick knit and super fun.  I had 3 more requests from family and friends.  I'm considering making a pattern for it.
